Help Deborah Find Safety and Peace of Mind
Fundraiser created few hours ago
Deborah Twumasi is the organizer of this fundraiser.
My name is Deborah, a 35-year-old Ghanaian woman. In 2020, my uncle in Austria made plans to help me relocate from Ghana to Austria for a better life. I worked hard towards this dream. I studied and passed my German A1 exam, completed all the required documentation, and prepared myself for the journey.
Sadly, just before I could travel, I contracted COVID-19. The illness left me severely sick and unable to make the trip. By the time I recovered, the deadline to collect my visa had expired, and my chance was gone.
Since then, my uncle, who is also my biological uncle, my mother’s brother, has been demanding repayment of the money he spent on the process, a total of €18,000. Unfortunately, I do not have the means to repay him. I have tried many ways to settle this debt, but I have not been successful.
The situation has become unbearable because my uncle has resorted to threatening my life over the money. This constant fear and pressure have affected my peace of mind and my ability to live freely.
I am humbly appealing for help through this fundraiser so I can raise the amount to settle him and finally have peace. Any contribution, no matter how small, will bring me closer to freedom from this fear and give me the chance to rebuild my life.
Thank you for reading my story and for any support you can give.
